Sunday services are as follows:-
9.00am: Holy Communion (first in month)
10.30am: All-age Worship with crèche facilities and activities for
children and young people.
6pm: Evening Worship
7.30pm: Alternative Service (last Sunday in month)
In addition to our Sunday services, we have a variety of weekly, fortnightly or
monthly activities including house groups, meetings for prayer and Bible study
and discussion, young peoples activities, Wednesday Meeting (talks, slide shows,
musical evenings etc.), Table Tennis, Dance Club, Walking Group and a “Tots and
Teddies” service for pre-school children and parents.
We host a coffee morning in the Parish Room on the second Saturday morning of
each month. We intend to make our newly refurbished premises as widely available
as possible for community use.

At the centre of most homes there’s a warm kitchen with a cup of tea.
At the centre of the Christian faith there’s a welcome for everyone old and
young.
At the centre of our village there’s a place where these two ideas come together
– a warm welcoming place where anyone can simply drop in – for a chat, for a
cuppa, for information about village activities, or where to go for help, for a
listening ear – or just to put your feet up and read a newspaper!
Run by volunteers from the local churches, “Open Door” is open every weekday
from 9.30am to 12noon and from 2 to 4.30pm, (Saturdays 10am – 12noon) at the
Parish Office, 43 Station Road.

The Church Family gathers for worship in the Eucharist on Sunday mornings at 8
and 9.45am. At the later service we are able to offer special activities for
children and young people and a crèche facility. Our evening worship normally
begins at 6pm. On the second Sunday in the month, we have a shorter service at
9.45am which is not a communion service, followed by a simple said Communion at
11am.
A weekly news sheet is published giving details of both the daily services and
all our weekly activities. Copies of the news sheet are always available in the
Church porch and at the Parish Office. A magazine is published monthly and can
be delivered to you.
Most of our activities are centred either in the Church Lounge (adjacent to the
Church) or in the Parish Room at the bottom of Station Road. The Parish Room is
a regular venue for coffee mornings on Saturdays. The room may be hired for
parties and other functions (see above).

All our work with children and young people follows Good Practice
Guidelines. Salem is a small friendly village church which is welcoming to
people of all ages. Our church life includes social events, theatre trips and
coffee mornings on the first Saturday of each month from 10-11.30am when a
variety of stalls and home made produce is available.
A free monthly church magazine is available at coffee mornings and Open Door, as
well as in Church. It is full of news and current events.
