2.    Approval of the Minutes of the meeting on November 11^th

These were signed as a correct record. 

3.    Matters arising.

None 

4.    Correspondence.

• Minutes of the Youth Forum  meeting. The Youth Forum have plans for a stand at the January Jamboree.
• Skateboard Park progress: BMDC met with Bob Jones on December 8^th for a site meeting. Park to be done before March . (The site is to be the one nearer the  fence – beyond basketball court)
• Letter from Peter Riley from Burley Wildlife Group who want to buy a lawn mower and hedge trimmer and are applying for funds for part of the expenditure. See item 5.

5. Treasurer’s Business

• The joint BWCT and BCC  monthly accounts summary was presented by MH.
• A request to assist with funding for a mowing machine  and hedge trimmer for the Sun Lane Nature Reserve  has been received from Peter Riley on behalf of  the Burley Wildlife Group.  It was felt by those present that this should be supported. The Burley Wildlife Group  should apply to the Awards Committee at Ilkley Parish Council and fundraise for any balance.

BS  reported:

• a receipt had been received from Tereli.
• The first electricity bill for Scalebor had been received

6.   Reports from Sub-committees

6.1 Youth initiatives. None

6.2  Scalebor sports facilities.

The tenancy agreements to use the facilities have now been signed and returned to MH by the football and cricket clubs. BS  queried whether the internal water pipes should be lagged. MH and BS to sort out.

6.3   Pond at Cornmill Lane.

Although we have not received the signed transfer we understand that it is due soon and is not being held up by the solicitors.

The 4 Management Trustees (BS,MH, CM and ST) met  our tenants on December 5^th to discuss the ongoing arrangements for maintaining the area, safety requirements, minor improvements, access etc.    The tenants would like assurances about the long term. MH said that we were not able to give such assurances but could produce a list of objectives for management of the pond. The pond will revert to the Trust when Mr Steve Carruthers leaves and limited public access may follow, possibly through open days. The Management Trustees will give further thought to the matter  and bring back to the January meeting.
