6.1Youth initiatives
RT reported that at the recent meeting of the Youth Forum it was decided that the skateboard park would be its last major project. The objectives set by the Forum will have been met. Plaques next to the projects completed by the Forum have been proposed.. The Forum has suggested that the proposed Burley parish council might set up a sub-committee together with co-opted members to continue work on youth issues. It was important to get the next generation of children and young people plus their parents involved. Renovation of the children’s playground might be a first project for a new group. BWCT will also continue to have an interest in youth issues and the relationship between this and a Burley parish council would need to be discussed. The Youth Forum will have a stall at the Jamboree in January
6.2 Scalebor sports facilities.
Tenancy agreements have been sent for signing to both sports clubs.
Regular joint working parties at the pavilion with the clubs will be organized from time to time. Fire extinguishers have been provided.
6.3 Pond at Cornmill Lane
We have still not received the final document or the £10,000 for the maintenance of the pond. The £10,000 will be invested in order to gain interest.
