Minutes of the Committee Meeting held on Thursday 14 October 2004

2. Approval of the Minutes of the 12th August and the 9th September. These were accepted as a correct record and were signed.
3. Matters arising not covered elsewhere on the agenda. None

5.Treasurer’s Business
The monthly accounts summary for BWCT and BCC was circulated and in the absence of the Treasurer BS pointed out specific items.
BCC Income: a £1500 Christmas lights grant had been received from the Ilkley Parish Council. Fees for Christmas Market stalls were coming in well. £2000 towards the Scalebor Pavilion has been received from the cricket club.
BCC Expenditure: £11,750 had been transferred to BWCT for the purchase of the Scalebor Pavilion. In this month there had been a series of payments for the ongoing work on the water feature and payment for the removal of trees and re-landscaping on the village green.
BWCT the main income and expenditure concerned the Scalebor Pavilion purchase.
It has not been necessary to pay VAT on the purchase and the purchase cost has, therefore, been £10,000.
A request had been received from Peter Riley for £52 to cover the costs of the posts and installation of the notice board, supplied by BMDC, at Sun Lane nature reserve. Payment was agreed.
6. Reports from Sub-committees.
6.1 Youth initiatives
6.2 Scalebor sports facilities. A £10,000 cheque contributing to the cost of the pavilion and car park has been sent to the BWCT solicitor, and documents signed for land transfer and license to play football and cricket. The four nominated Trustees and leaders of the sports groups have keys to the building. The Treasurer is drawing up leases for the sports clubs. TS will put signs on the pavilion and the car park. BS has ordered a litter bin.
6.3 Pond at Cornmill Lane. Documents transferring the site along with £10,000 for maintenance have been signed and returned to the solicitors acting for BWCT and the current owner. The site is leased to Mr and Mrs Carruthers. Signs warning of a danger of deep water will be erected.
The Chair reminded the Committee that the BWCT AGM is part of the Agenda for the forthcoming Neighbourhood Forum meeting.
