Cllr Jones opened the meeting.

RESOLVED that the minutes of the meeting of 14th June 2007 be accepted as a true and accurate record.
54/0708 Matters arising from the minutes
As there were no urgent matters arising, this item was deferred to the meeting on 12th July 2007.
55/0708 Exclusion of press and public

RESOLVED that the press and public be excluded from items 8 and 9 due to the confidential nature of the business discussed.
56/0708 Proposals for development of the Grange
A developer had worked with the Parish Council to formulate a plan for the future of the Grange. Parish Councillors reviewed the plans for the ground floor. Approximately 100mē would be retained for community use to include two meeting rooms suitable for hire, office and kitchen space and toilet facilities. Bradford College had extended the deadline for responses and the Parish Council considered whether to submit the joint development proposal to the college. No agreement would be entered into without referring back to Full Council and without proper legal and financial advice. Councillors reviewed the draft letter outlining the proposal to the college.

RESOLVED that Burley Parish Council write to Bradford College outlining the proposal for development.
58/0708 Negotiations with Bradford College
Proposed by Cllr Palmer
Seconded by Cllr Tilford
RESOLVED that Burley Parish Council enter into negotiations with Bradford College and the development partner for the future development of the Grange.
59/0708 Any Other Business
Cllr Tilford had the consultation documents on Airedale NHS Trust and asked anyone with comments to forward them to her as soon as possible. Responses have to be made by 13th July. Cllr Palmer asked that the number of seats on the executive board allocated to Wharfedale be raised.
Cllr Palmer had forwarded details of a consultation event on 19th July at Burley Library on the forthcoming road works at Ellar Ghyll.
