The minutes of the meeting of 29 June. It was proposed by Mike Walker and seconded by Keith Dale that they be approved as a true and accurate record and were signed accordingly.

66/06 Planning Applications

Receipt of the following planning applications were acknowledged and considered as follows:-

1. 06/04738/FUL - 27 Heather Rise LS29 7RA

Two–storey extension and landscaping to garden. Discussion took place and it was resolved that there was no objection to this application. It was noted that the specifications on this plan called for heat retaining glass and a high spec of insulation – this it was felt should be encouraged.

2. 06/04874/FUL – The Hawthorns, Hag Farm Road LS29 7AB

Single–storey extension forming new kitchen/dining, garden room and study. It was resolved that there were no objections to this application.

67/06 Planning Applications Determined

The decision notified by the Planning Department of Bradford Council were noted.

06/02983/FUL 68 Sandholme Drive

Approved

It was noted that an amended plan was approved showing revised details for the front canopy which omits tubular fibreglass columns. The development should also be constructed with matching facing and roofing materials. These were in accordance with our recommendations.

68/06 Greenholme Conservation Area

The summary of the BMDC report had been received. The assessment of the area suggested that it would be inappropriate to designate the area for Conservation Area status. However it was proposed that certain buildings be considered for listing. We believe that this area is important historically for the village. It was noted that the report stated that " the archaeological interest is limited as the goits leading from the Aire [sic] are heavily silted and their banks overgrown". It was therefore inferred that if the silt was cleared and the banks cleared the interest might be enhanced. It was proposed that we write and ask these questions. It was also suggested that we might enquire of the landowners whether this might be possible.

69/06 Date of next meeting:

27 July – Parish Rooms
