99/06 Minutes of the Last Meeting
The minute of the meeting of 27 July. It was proposed by Mike Walker and seconded by Peter Jenkins that they be approved as a true and accurate record and were signed accordingly.
100/06 Planning Applications
Receipt of the following planning applications were acknowledged and considered as follows:-
06/05389/FUL 2a Endor Crescent
Demolition of existing bungalow and erection of pair of semi–detached houses.
Objections had been received to this application. Following discussion it was agreed that the proposal was overlooking the property behind because of the levels of the land. It was felt to be detrimental to the open aspect of the street scene. Recommend for refusal.
06/05327/FUL 25 Wrexham Road
Single storey rear extension – recommended for approval.
06/03552/FUL 2 Highfield Cottages, Moor Road, Burley Woodhead
Two storey side extension.
Following discussion a majority of the councilors voted to recommend this application for refusal on grounds that as it is in the green belt; the open aspect of the site would be affected; and that the extension is not subordinate to the main.
06/05546/FUL 51 Lawn Avenue
Two storey side extension.
The committee considered that proposed extension would be intrusive to the street scene on Langford Lane. The proposed extension comes very close to the boundary on Langford Lane and would result in loss of openness. Recommend for refusal.

Grant of change of use from commercial premises to residential. Approved.
06/04029/FUL 14 St Philips Way.
Side extension – refused on grounds that it would result in loss of openness to corner. Refused.
06/04381/REG Burley Oaks Primary School
– approval for temporary classroom until 31.7.2008. Approved.
102/06 Potential conservation area for Burley Woodhead
– this item was deferred to the next meeting.
