The minutes of the meeting of 26 October. It was proposed by Cllr Jenkins and seconded by Cllr Dale that these were a true and accurate record and were signed accordingly.

161/06 Matters arising

The letter sent to the Planning Department at Ilkley Parish Council regarding Crossfell had been received and had been passed to Neil Atkinson, Visible Services for further action. Cllr Jenkins reported that he and Cllr Horton had been unable to meet with Tony Poole from the Drains and Water Courses Office.

162/06 Planning applications

Receipt of the following applications was acknowledged and considered as follows:

06/07984/FUL – 14 Mansfield Road

Loft conversion and construction of new hipped roof.

Resolved: Recommend approval

06/07831/FUL – Low House Farm, Colston Drive

Construction of outbuilding and wildlife pond

Resolved: Recommend approval with proviso that pond is completed on naturalistic lines proposed.

06/07478/FUL – 2 Highfield Cottages, Moor Road

Two storey side extension

This was an amended application, the proposed extension was smaller, lower and set further back than the original proposal but after some discussion by the planning committee it was felt that it was still over dominant on the site and affected the open aspect of the Green Belt land surrounding.

Resolved: recommend refusal

06/07978/FUL – Wayside, Bradford Road

Construction of a two storey dwelling

There had been two objections from residents at the rear that the development would be intrusive. The proposal was discussed by the plans committee and it was agreed that the development was over–dominant on the site, that there were concerns over highway access with a single driveway for two houses and that it was out of character with the district. Resolved: recommend refusal

06/07875/FUL – 44 Norwood Avenue

Two storey side extension

Resolved: recommend approval

163/06 Note decisions from BDMC
