The minutes of the meeting of 7 December. It was proposed by Cllr Jenkins and seconded by Cllr Walker that the minutes were a true and accurate record and accepted accordingly.
206/06 – Matters arising
None
207/06 – Planning applications
Receipt of the following applications was acknowledged and considered as follows:
06/09004/FUL – 20 Jumb Beck Close
Two storey extension to rear of property
The committee unanimously agreed that the proposed extension was over–dominant on the site and was probably too close to the neighbour at the rear.
Resolved: Recommend refusal
06/09322/FUL – 52 Bradford Road
Single storey kitchen extension
Resolved: Recommend approval
06/09391/FUL – 40 Sandholme Drive
Construction of one three bed semi-detached dwelling and one four bed semi–detached dwelling
It was noted by the committee that this was an amended application and that there had been one objection from a neighbour. After discussion the committee unanimously agreed that the height of the proposed dwellings made them over dominant on the neighbouring houses. The proposed dwellings were considered to be an over–development of the site and there was concern that it blocked an open space that was important to the character of the local area.
Resolved: Recommend refusal
06/09399/FUL – 6 Smithy Lane
Porch extension
Resolved: Recommend approval
208/06 – Any other business
Cllr Jones had received some feedback from Ilkley Planning Office regarding applications 06/07831/FUL and 06/07782/FUL at Low House Farm, after further consideration by the Planning Office there were some issues that had not been known to the committee when making the decisions. The Planning Committee would await further notification from the Planning Office.
Cllr Jones urged fellow committee members to consult the Bradford Council website for information on the Local Development Framework, Cllr Jones to email details to fellow councillors. It was noted that the committee would need to be aware of the progress towards development of the new Development Framework which will replace the existing UDP.
