The minutes of the meeting of 25 January 2007. It was proposed by Cllr Dale and seconded by Cllr Forrest that the minutes were a true and accurate record and accepted accordingly.
263/0607 Matters arising
Parish Clerk had spoken to Martyn Burke at Ilkley Planning Office regarding application 06/09629/FUL – 16 Grange Road. He had confirmed there are no planning restrictions possible on types/size of vehicle that can be parked on a parking space at this site even though it is in the conservation area.
264/0607 Planning applications
Receipt of the following applications was acknowledged and considered as follows:
07/00527/FUL – 12 Aireville Terrace
Demolition of existing house and construction of 12 new 1–bed apartments, access, car park and associated works.
This was a third submission for planning permission at this site. The proposal was discussed and the amended development proposal is still considered to be over–dominant on the site and street scene. It was the view of the committee that 12 dwellings were too many on this site. Strong concern continued to be expressed on the matter of highways and access, Aireville Terrace and Station Road are very busy and often congested, this is a bus route and a major access route to the part of the village located west of Station Road.
Resolved: Recommend refusal
07/00542/CAC – 12 Aireville Terrace
Demolition of existing 1929 detached house.
This was a third submission for planning permission at this site. The committee felt that the house contributes to the character of the surrounding area and there is no evidence that it is structurally unsound.
Resolved: Recommend refusal
07/00288/FUL – Ghyll Royd School, Greystone Manor, Ilkley Road
Renewal of permission for construction of new sports hall and classroom alterations.
Some members of the committee had recollection of a condition attached to the previous planning permission that the sports hall be used in part for community use. Parish Clerk to check this with the Planning Office.
Resolved: Recommend approval
07/00549/FUL – Strathearn, Bradford Road
Two storey extension to side.
Resolved: Recommend approval
07/00577/FUL – 11 Hill Crescent
Extension to garage.
Resolved: Recommend approval
