302/0607 Chairman's remarks
Councillor Jones opened the meeting.

Cllr Forrest had sent apologies and these were received and accepted.

305/0607 Minutes of the Last Meeting
The minutes of the meeting of 22nd February 2007. It was proposed by Cllr Jones and seconded by Cllr Dale that the minutes were a true and accurate record and accepted accordingly.
306/0607 Matters arising
Martyn Burke had confirmed that there were no plans by the Planning Office to pursue any issue with regard to the height of the wall at Brookside. The height of the wall should be 2m and it was believed that it was only just higher than that. Committee agreed not to pursue this matter further.

Receipt of the following applications was acknowledged and considered as follows:
07/01130/FUL – 7 Greenholme Cottages
Two storey extension to rear and single storey extension to front
After discussion the committee agreed that the proposed development at the front would have a negative impact on the line of the architectural feature of the arches on this row of housing. The proposed development at the back was regarded as being over dominant in the green belt and out of character to the development.
Resolved: Recommend refusal
07/01455/FUL – Wayside, Bradford Road
Construction of two storey dwelling
The committee noted that this was a revised proposal and that the new proposal had addressed the concerns raised by the first application.
Resolved: Recommend approval
07/01452/FUL – 29a West View Avenue
Retrospective application to retain decking to front garden
Resolved: Recommend that the feature be made less dominant in height and colour

Cllr Jones had been contacted with regard to the proposed stopping up of land at 1 Wrexham Road. It was agreed that this would be an agenda item at the next planning meeting. Parish clerk to seek the advice of the planning office. All councillors were invited to have a look at the site.
The Parish Clerk had confirmed that councillors at Ilkley have a form of identification that they are able to provide when visiting planning application sites. To be discussed further at a later meeting.
