P31/0708 Chairman's remarks
Cllr Jenkins opened the meeting and welcomed the visitors to the meeting.
P32/0708 Apologies
Cllrs Jones and Tilford had sent apologies, these were received and accepted.
P33/0708 Disclosures of Interest

P34/0708 Public Participation
Four members of the public were in attendance concerning the outlining planning application for Langford Lane. They had concerns concerning the loss of amenity to them by the proposed development including loss of car parking, access difficulties, loss of children's play area and drying areas. There were also safety concerns as the access road was very narrow and impeded entry/exit to some flats.
A member of the public was in attendance concerning the development at Crag Top, she had received notification of the planning application. Cllr Jenkins explained that a decision would be deferred until the next meeting as the plans had not yet been received by the Parish Council.
P35/0708 Minutes of the Last Meeting
The minutes of the meeting of 14th June 2007. It was proposed by Cllr Riley and seconded by Cllr Forrest that the minutes were a true and accurate record and accepted accordingly.
P36/0708 Matters arising
P25/0708 - Spicy Ranch, Planning Office had confirmed receipt of the letter sent by Parish Clerk concerning infringement of licensing laws and would pass it to the Enforcement Officers.
P25/0708 - Maps of the village on a scale of 1:1000 had been ordered from BMDC.
P25/0708 - Shopfront design. Cllr Jenkins passed the documents from BMDC to Parish Clerk for a reply. Parish Clerk to follow up on planning permission for Co-op's shopfront design.

Receipt of the following applications was acknowledged and considered as follows:
07/03982/OUT - Former garage site Langford Lane
Two storey apartments with associated car parking
Four members of the public were present to object. A letter of objection and a petition objecting to the proposal had been received.
Resolved: whilst the Parish Council supported the provision of additional affordable housing in the village, recommend refusal on this proposal on grounds of loss of amenity to residents, poor and potentially dangerous access. Also to note disappointment at lack of consultation with and consideration of local residents.
07/04403/FUL - Ghylmoor, Moor Road
Two storey rear extension and addition of rooflights to existing space
There was no knowledge of any objections, difficult to gain access to adequately assess this property.
Resolved: recommend approval subject to planning officers being satisfied that it is not disproportionate in relation to the original dwelling or overly intrusive in the green belt
07/03967/FUL - 24 Southfield Road
Construction of single detached garage
Concerns over tree were noted but appeared to have been adequately dealt with. Resolved: recommend approval
07/05082/FUL - Crag Top, Green Lane
To retain a new section of private drive and construct a passing place
Plans had not yet been received and it was agreed to defer the decision until the planning meeting on 12th July. Parish Clerk to pass a copy of the plans to Cllr Forrest for consultation with CPRE.

07/03452/FUL - 39 Hall Drive - Approval
P39/0708 Any other business
Cllr Jenkins had information on regulations covering wall and fence heights on properties adjoining highways and footpaths. Parish Clerk to check with Planning Office on regulations covering these structures. Robin Hole - an advertisement for a kitchen company had been posted on the railings at this site. Parish Clerk to contact Planning Office.
Cllr Jenkins had received a copy of an Enforcement Notice produced by BMDC. Parish Council were not copied on these notices, Parish Clerk to find out if the Parish Council could be advised of these lists.
