The 100 Club
One of the regular means of fund raising by the Trust is the 100 Club.
About 100 members pay a subscription of £1 per month, usually paid in advance for the year at £12.
Each is allocated a number, which is kept as long as the subscription is renewed. There are usually numbers to choose at renewal time every May, though many members have retained their numbers for over twenty years!
Each month on the third Saturday, at about 11.15 a.m. at the Trust 's Coffee Morning, in the Parish Room, a draw takes place.
Three winning numbers are picked out of the bag. The first gets £20, the second £15 and the third £10.
In December, we have a bumper Christmas draw, when the winner gets £100, the second £75 and the third £50. The winning numbers are displayed in the Library, and cheques handed to the winners as soon as possible after the draw.
You will see from the Trust accounts that we achieve a steady income from the Club members, which enables us to meet some of our regular running costs.
