Burley Community Council
The records of the Community Council are kept in the Village Archive and can be viewed when the Archive is open for inspection in the Library on Tuesdays and Fridays, between 2:30 and 4:30pm.
Any references elsewhere in this website to Burley Community Council should be taken as now referring to either Burley Parish Council or Burley–in–Wharfedale Community Trust, as appropriate.
The Community Council has been retained as a dormant body, but with an elected committee, in order to be able to revived quickly if it should be needed to participate in negotiations concerning the future use of Burley House Field – where BCC was the lead objector in public enquiries and negotiations with Bradford MDC.
The remaining funds held by BCC were donated to the registered charity Burley–in–Wharfedale Community Trust at the June 2006 AGM.
