ABOUT THE COMMUNITY TRUST

Burley in Wharfedale Community Trust (BWCT), formed in 2003, is a registered charity providing facilities and services to benefit all residents of Burley. The Trust is managed by a group of volunteer Trustees elected at the AGM in January. We often work on projects in partnership with village bodies such as Burley Parish Council.
Cricket Pavilion We own the Scalebor Park sports pavilion and the Corn Mill Pond, lease and maintain the Roundhouse, Pudding Tree garden, Scalebor Park sports pitches and the Jubilee Garden, and provide the annual Christmas tree lights and trees.
In addition we organize the Annual Duck Race and Teas in the Park in June and the summer hanging baskets and tubs.
The Trust has recently completed the renovation of the Fountain of Life and the surrounding area at the bottom of Station Road to provide a focal point for the village for residents and visitors. Please enjoy the new facility.

All Burley residents are invited to join the Trust for a small annual fee (£12 each, £18 family).
Members are also entitled to attend and vote at the AGM in January and to stand for election as a Trustee, and are also entered into a prize draw held four times a year (March, August, October, December).
