Fri 07 BurleyWaWBurley Walkers are Welcome - one of a series of short midweek walks,
which will be on the first Friday of the month. The walks will all start at Burley Station car park at 10am, for 3 to 4 miles, aiming to return to the Fountain of Life at the bottom of Station Road for noon - all are welcome, so just turn up. Dogs are welcome providing they are kept on a short lead and are covered by third party liability insurance (dogs are also welcome now on the Sunday walks, with the same criteria)

Come and dance or listen to the folk/rock music of Chris Nelson and local band, Northern Comfort. Bar available. Cost: £10 – under 18s £5 - including interval refreshments. In 2018, for the end of the First World War Centenary Commemorations, the Government is organising for an additional 10,000 members of the public to march past the cenotaph after the British Legion organised march has finished. Details on how to apply to the ballot for the public march past will be released by the Government later in the year.
