They are on the third Sunday of each month, 10am to 1pm, approx 5 miles, meeting in the railway station car park. No need to book, just turn up.
Dogs are welcome providing they are kept on a short lead and are covered by third party liability insurance (part of most pet insurance plans).

This event is held every 4th Thursday (except for December).

Fri 02 BurleyWaWBurley Walkers are Welcome - one of a series of short midweek walks,
which will be on the first Friday of the month. The walks will all start at Burley Station car park at 10am, for 3 to 4 miles, aiming to return to the Fountain of Life at the bottom of Station Road for noon - all are welcome, so just turn up. Dogs are welcome providing they are kept on a short lead and are covered by third party liability insurance (dogs are also welcome now on the Sunday walks, with the same criteria)

Sat 03 Burley Summer FestivalWalk-in bookings are being taken today for Burley Summer Festival's 10th Year Celebration Ceilidh being held next Saturday. Make a day of it and join in our Celebration Ceilidh. Come and dance or listen to the folk/rock music of Chris Nelson and local band, Northern Comfort. Bar available.
Cost: £10 – (under 18s £5) - including interval refreshments.
Booking: Today in Burley library, or on the door next Saturday (the 10th).

Sat 03 Scout and Guide Group logoThe Scouts & Guide Group are holding the Bonfire and Fireworks display this year on Sat 3rd November at the Recreation Ground - please note new location. Entrance to the event will be via York Road ONLY. The event starts at 6.15pm. The fire will be lit at 7pm, and fireworks at 7.30pm.
There will be the usual stalls - barbecue, soft and alcoholic drinks, traditional bonfire food and sweets. There will be free entry but generous donations in the buckets will be appreciated. All welcome. Any queries to sue@gvint.co.uk

In 2018, for the end of the First World War Centenary Commemorations, the Government is organising for an additional 10,000 members of the public to march past the cenotaph after the British Legion organised march has finished. Details on how to apply to the ballot for the public march past will be released by the Government later in the year.

Sun 16 SantaSanta Claus will again be touring the village in the run up to Christmas and helping to raise money for The Scouts and Guides new Headquarters. Please look out for us - here is today's schedule: Endor Crescent, Holme Grove, Hill Cres and Menston Old Lane, Sandholme, Prospect Rd, St Michaels, Hasley, St Phillips, Norwood, Fenton, Lawn Ave, Grangefield.
