which will be on the first Friday of the month. The walks will all start at Burley Station car park at 10am, for 3 to 4 miles, aiming to return to the Fountain of Life at the bottom of Station Road for noon - all are welcome, so just turn up. Dogs are welcome providing they are kept on a short lead and are covered by third party liability insurance (dogs are also welcome now on the Sunday walks, with the same criteria)

Sat 02 THE BIG LUNCH- A "Bring and Share Picnic" to promote togetherness in our community. Bring food, blankets and chairs for a picnic in Grange Park if the weather is dry. For those wanting a bit of extra comfort or in case of rain the Parish Centre will be available for shelter, warmth and to meet new people. Library logo
The Library will also be open as an information and consultation hub on community activities and to consult on how we can make Burley more inclusive. Thanks to our wonderful volunteers the library will also be extending its normal business hours that day and will be open from 10 am to 3 pm for normal book service!

Sun 10 Duck RaceDuck RaceThe Annual Burley Duck Race will take place this year on the River Wharfe at 2pm on Sunday 10th June. Access to the race is down Corn Mill Lane by the Parish Church and the footpath over the A65 at the Otley end of the bypass and down to the river towards Otley. Police officers will be on duty to ensure that this crossing is safe. Alternatively access to the river can be made near to the lay-by on the Otley road.
This year there are 3,500 Ducks swimming down the river with funds from the ticket sales being shared between Burley Community Trust and Burley Scouts and Guides.Please support this Annual village event by purchasing tickets in advance. A limited number of tickets will be available to buy on the day by the Corn Mill pond and in the field near the race.
Teas in the Park will be available after the event on the Village Green with all proceeds going to the Scouts and Guides.
